This really hurts the story, as it has little room to breath, and leaves some elements of gameplay lacking.Īssassin's Creed Rogue saiu numa altura em que o deixei passar porque eu já tinha a PS4 e saiu o AC Unity e comprei-o. Too Short – The game feels rushed, probably because it came out at the same time as Unity and wasn’t the ‘big game’ of the pair. The rest were limited to very ugly armor or short audio messages. The only ones I enjoyed where the Viking Armour and Sir James Gunn’s Armour. +/- 100% Rewards – AC has never been big on rewards for their absurb number of collectables, but the Gun Blades and Golden Pistols from Black Flag gave me hope for this game.
+Connection to Unity – Without spoiling the ending, I really enjoyed the connection to Unity and it will definitely impact my thoughts going into that game. The land areas are also much larger, making them interesting to explore. The large town of New York brings you back to the first few games while the two ocean maps provide both a snowy and more forested areas to explore with smaller settlements. This changes that by giving you 3 different maps, akin to AC3. Combine that with the few locations you do visit all feeling the same made exploring boring. +More Varied Map – My main issue with Black Flag was the tiny, not counting the ocean, world map. Otherwise, the combat is just as engaging and fun as Black Flag’s. +Combat – While mostly the same as Black Flag, which is not a bad thing, Rogue exchanges the blow pipe for an Air Rifle, which just feels so much cooler. We also get to see what happens to many characters prior to AC3 and after Black Flage. Following an Assassin who leaves his order and joins the Templars, it offers another look at this conflict and shows that the ‘good guys’ aren’t always right. +Story – While is does feel rushed in the first half, the majority of the story is very interesting. It’s main problem is how it feels rushed and the rewards for 100% completion are lacking. 9/10 Assassin’s Creed Rogue takes what worked in Black Flag and expands on it with a more varied map and combat while also telling an engaging and interesting story.
